Love going to Jake's the staff are very friendly very accommodating and attentive. Food is always good no matter what I've ordered. Love that they have gluten free choices to!
Great food at decent prices. Large plate of shrimp in butter covered with ritz crackers, summer squash, baked potato and bread and bitter for $14.95. Very tasty and prepared perfectly. The quarter lb of lobster in butter covered with ritz crackers, summer squash and onion rings was $18.99. Cooked to perfection. Well worth the money paid.
Yum! I had fried clam strips with onion rings, and my wife had fried scollops with fries, and all were delicious. The coleslaw tasted vinegary, and maybe that's their special recipe, but we weren't crazy about it. A guy at the next table had a bucket of lobster that looked great and, judging by the way he scarfed them down, they were. The place was very busy, and we saw one woman there who apparently works at another restaurant, and yet another who was wearing a t-shirt advertising a local pizza joint; so, their coming to Jake's to eat speaks volumes. It was a bit noisy, too, but --bottom line-- the few shortcomings we encountered were easily ignored given the quality of food and great service. Oh, yeah... The prices are quite reasonable.
One of our local favorites, good seafood, great signature drinks, can be a wait time during high tourist season but we'll worth it.
